I have made the business decision to reduce my social media presence. The work involved to maintain a presence on social media cuts into the creative process. There is such a thing as spreading yourself too thin. I originally thought spreading out over social media along with old fashioned in-person contact, I could make contacting me easier. Instead, it proved to be a lot of work with little return in contact. With the newly freed time, I would much rather create a concept, work one-to-one with clients in person or on the phone, and create props and wardrobe for sessions.
Additionally, I've noticed most of my clients contact me on my personal Facebook page or through email and my Web site. Returning clients prefer to email or text. For example, in the time I was running my Facebook business page, I had contact from one new client. Whereas, my personal page received numerous new clients, returning clients, and inquiries, as did my email address.
With that knowledge, I have deleted the Facebook business page. For future contact, feel free to write an email to email@example.com or send a message to my personal Facebook page by clicking the Facebook link at the top of this Web site.
