One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, 'I could have done that!'"
I saw this joke and it made me think. Why do we spend so much time looking at everyone else's work instead of pulling ideas from within? There is nothing wrong with finding inspiration in many images, but we really need to get off the computer, quit beating ourselves up for not creating, and just do it. Get out there and put your ideas to work! Stop cruising sites and browbeating yourself for not creating or not coming up with a concept. Pull from yourself, then make it happen.
Then, when you see others work, you can appreciate what they've created without thinking "I could have" or "I should have".
