I am not usually a saturation junkie. Don't get me wrong. I like color. However, for a lot of my work, I like letting colors play off each other in a muted way. But, when I met with Xaina to photograph her, her family, and her german shepherds, it was threatening thunderstorms. The greens were so vivid and the sky was very dynamic. It reminded me of Scotland. Then, contrast that with Xaina's gorgeous red hair! How could I not let the colors speak for themselves. Muted and subtle colors just wouldn't do.
